About the event
Visit Santa's Gingerbread Barn aboard the Spicer Express Train.
- Check in 15 minutes early, Train leaves promptly. There likely will not be room to "fit you in" if you miss the train.
- Fill out "Elf Mail". (Optional) This lets Santa know in advance of any special needs, important toy information, birthdays, elf's name, etc.
- Ride the lit up musical train to Santa's Gingerbread Barn. The train is not heated, but is mostly enclosed from the wind.
- Each family visits Santa individually. At check in, you'll be given a group number so you know when it is your turn.
- Bring a letter to give to Santa. You can show it to Santa and put it in the North Pole Mailbox.
- Enjoy the bonfire, fairy tale trail, yard games, reindeer food, etc. while you wait. There is shelter from rain and wind, but nothing is heated.
- After visiting Santa ride the train back to the market and enjoy 1 drink & 1 donut for each ticket.
- Be prepared for outdoor weather conditions for up to 1.5 hours.
- Tickets must be purchased for everyone, including infants. Tickets are Non-refundable.
- If you are coming with a large group, it is helpful to break the group into smaller groups to see Santa.
- There is not an onsite photographer. You can take photos as you wish. There is not time to bring a professional with you for formal photos.
- The purpose of this event is to enjoy the spirit and Magic of Christmas. Be sure to follow the Christmas code of conduct:
- -Maintain a "family friendly" environment with appropriate language. Aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
- -Avoid conversing about non-believing. You are there with other families and little ones listen when adults talk.
- -Every family has different traditions and beliefs. Be mindful of what you say on the train, at the bonfire, in the cabin, etc.
- - Enjoy the moment & remember your purpose. It isn't just about the perfect picture, it's the experience with your child(ren).
- - Let your child know what order your going in. It will help them to be patient.
- - Every child reacts differently to Santa, be open minded about your child's reaction and let Santa do his magic.
- -Your expectation is different than your child's. Help coach your kids by getting thinking about what to "say" to Santa.
- - Santa likes to answer questions about all things Christmas, it might help to have some "back up" questions for Santa.
- -Maintain a positive and happy mood even if you feel stressed about everything in life. Be in this moment.
- - There is no "set" amount of time. Some kids are more willing than others. Be mindful that everyone has to see Santa. Take the time you need, but also don't stay so long that you take time away from others.
- - Santa feels emotions too. People wish for happy and sad things. Sometimes Santa needs a moment of composure too.
